The most exciting day in my life!!!

You wouldnt believe what happened to me yesterday...
The past 2.5 years I lived in a kennel, where some really awesome people fostered me, after they picked me up in a killing shelter near Barcelona in Spain.
Well, at least I knew I would stay alive, I got food and water every day and the people were nice to me and all my neighbors in the shelter of CanisPRO.
But other than that it was pretty boring there. I knew these nice people had a homepage set up for me on the internet, so that some even nicer people would come and pick me up - one day...

I guess this day happened yesterday, but I had no clue it would be so stressful. They got this huge crate for me. OMG, I was so afraid, they were just pushing me into it, the kennel was much better than that.
So the first day in my life I was riding in a car - and guess what - flying in a plane. Wow, that was sooo exciting.

Anyway, there were so nice people at the airport (they said Munic, wherever that is, and it was a bit colder there) they took me out of the crate and guess what - I got lots of treats, fresh water (that tasted so much fresher than in Spain) and they took me for a short walk. Man - that was so great, I could stretch my legs and found some fresh grass to chew on.

But it seemed that I wasn`t home yet, because they opened the door into another crate, well much bigger, but not like my kennel. I believe they called it car, or more specifically "Cabrio" or "Convertible".

I had no clue how to get in there.
I couldn`t look fast enough and the girls lifted me in there, I think I was a bit too big to sit in the front seat, so I stood with my front legs on the seat and the back legs on the ground (I believe that was the wrong way, but I had no clue how it could work out any differently).
After almost an hour on the Autobahn it was so uncomfortable I had to move, somehow I got my legs backwards (I believe I stood between the 2 front seats with my back legs) and the front legs on the seat, but damn, I got completely mired into my doggy belt (what a stupid thing, but I guess it had to be for safety). The nice lady who was driving had to stop at a parking place and "un-knot" me. Finally I sat at the right spot, with my butt on the seat and I could see the world fly by...

But I didn't know that the most horrible thing was still ahead of me: The stairs!
OMG, I will be living on the 2nd floor and these damn stairs look so slippery. I couldn't make it. My new poor Mama had to carry me up the stairs, I believe she was close to a heart attac, because I am so tall.
But then I was finally inside. Wow, it smelled so good. And I found my bowl with water and some treats in the kitchen right away.

I was so tired by that time and the last thing that happened to me that day should pay back for all the stress I had: My Mama went to bed and I had no clue that it was that big, enough for 2 to lay in it, I was so careful not to do anything wrong, but Mama just decided for me and lifted me up on the bed.

Aaaaah - sleeping in a bed! I couldn't believe it!!!

Be sure that I will post more from my new life with lots of photos here soon!

So wonderful that Rocki has a great place to stay! Thank you for doing this.

Oh - my dogs learned how to go up and down stairs by watching my friends dogs do it. You might try that so you don't have to carry Rocki too much longer!
